About Vjournal

Vjournal is the news and networking resource dedicated to helping women become effective, confident, healthy, wealthy business leaders and bosses.

With subscribers in 19 countries, our goal is to create a safe place for women to learn from and contribute to the success of other female executives.  We hear the great conversations that take place in networking meetings and conferences - the tips about about leadership, funding, hiring, managing your boards, bosses, and peers - not to mention your health and your money.  Consider us a megaphone to bring more women into those conversations.  We also round up news from over 30 different sources to make sure you stay informed.

Yes, the V is for vagina. We selected our name because research indeed shows that a woman's ability to lead well comes from our unique difference from men - not trying to act like one of them.  Still, great leadership takes skill and practice.  We all know that bad leaders exist for both genders, and poor male leaders don't get away scott-free - they’re just called different names by men and women alike. (And we believe there's a better way to break the glass ceiling than to be called an asshole instead of a bitch.)  As Vjournal continues to grow, the V will also stand for giving business women a Voice.

We don’t man-bash at Vjournal because for the most part we’ve found that behind many successful women, there are men with really big balls.  These are our mentors, our supporters, our partners - those confident, strong, sensational men who see our potential and help us up, rather than shoot us down.  We honor you here and hope that you will add to the conversation by actively contributing because hearing from you creates a truly useful dialog.   Over 20% of our subscribers are men who want to help us succeed.

Of course there is still a minority of men who are threatened by women in leadership positions and consistently undermine and belittle us.  For these individuals we recommend a visit to this very important website.
